APPROACH
In Advanced Graphic Design, we focused on creating a unique, food-related brand identity. After collaborating on an initial group project early in the semester, we selected a conceptual category to develop our own innovative food-based business. The final creation could have been a brick-and-mortar restaurant, a mobile eatery (think food truck, boat, train, bike, or cart), or a branding system for a boutique grocery store.
The most important aspect of my design is how it sparks curiosity and creates an immediate emotional connection with the consumer. The packaging is designed to stand out, deliberately playful and unconventional, with a name like "Dunce Pizza Cones" that makes people pause and think, “Why would I buy something called that?” This moment of intrigue is key — it captures attention, keeps the consumer engaged, and invites them to explore further.
The design communicates the essence of the brand: fun, approachable, and unexpected, while also being practical and convenient. It reflects the idea of making mealtime simple and stress-free, especially for busy families or individuals who don’t feel like cooking but still crave something delicious.
The process was intentional. From brainstorming to prototyping, I focused on balancing humor and quality, ensuring the product would not only catch the eye but also deliver on flavor and experience. Everything — from the bold branding to the product’s functionality — tells a story that aligns with the mission: turning a simple idea into a memorable, go-to choice for consumers.
