APPROACH
For this project, I created lettering for a journal. The journal of a cover with 5 interior spreads. The interior spreads contain 4 full page illustrations, 4 spot illustrations, and 4 call out words. This journal could have been a guided journal, a list making journal, a diary or a date book. This was the first project I've tackled in which I shared part of my military journey. There's a lot of times in conversation with others, when speaking of the military, they think violence, chaos and destruction. For this project, I wanted to highlight the down times I shared with my brothers and sisters when we weren't training. I used water color brushes to soften the subject matter I illustrated. Once school is complete, I plan on making a full version of this journal in order to get it published.
