APPROACH
Building up to this assignment, we explored different ways to illustrate letters. Since my Art History class that focused on street art, murals and graffiti, I have been obsessed with how artists represent themselves and others through street art. That's the style I used to create this magazine cover. Art has helped me see the beauty in this city and that was the motivation I needed to create. The flowers made me think of the flower show we have here in the city; The baseball and basketball represent our fan base and how much we hate to lose. The "3" represents Allen Iverson. When people look at this illustration, I want them to have positive Philly thoughts. I did when creating this. The article was created using AI...the prompt was "create an article about Philly Food and Fashion.
