PROCESS
Our Market 2 Research Project was based on exploring avenues of illustration where I want to work. Representation is important to me so I wanted to create a comic book cover with a black main character who looks like me, walks and talks like me. I created the background using pastels on paper. Everything else was created digitally in Photoshop and Procreate. In this project, I learned about cell shading and using color to influence shadow and highlight. My Market 1 Research Project was based on a simple illustration style and I used project 2 to challenge myself on things I struggled with technically.
