Public Site Mural/Armando Veve (Illustration 2)/Spring 2025
APPROACH
In this assignment, we were told to pick a public space that means a lot to us and create a mural for it. I chose Max Myers Recreation Center; a place I played basketball everyday after high school as well as worked at as a summer camp counselor. There is already a mural that exists there. It showcases different colors of broken glass that represent the different types of people/families and neighborhoods that make Northeast Philly.
I created a piece based on that same notion but used different species of fish that use Philly as a habitat. I implemented some of the same colors used in the original mural. I worked completely digital on the ipad to create this piece.
