"Hello" Mural/Matt Curtius (Murals)//Spring 2026
Process
The theme for this mural was “hello” and how people say hello everyday. I decided to create a mural expressing a “high five” and illustrating what that impact would be when two hands connect. My thumbnails consisted of people who travel in an airplane and a train. The Tower of Babel came to mind. I also thought someone waving and/or receiving a text message saying hi could be interesting. I used my hands to create refined sketches. VR was used to sketch the outline of my refined sketch for scale. I utilized different line weights in order to bring life into my outline using white chalk markers.
